Raoul Dufy
(1877–1953)

Was a French painter known for his vibrant and colorful works, particularly in the realms of Fauvism and Cubism. Born in Le Havre, France, Dufy initially trained as a ceramic decorator before turning his attention to painting, where he quickly gained recognition for his bold use of color and lively compositions.

Dufy's watercolor paintings are characterized by their bright, dynamic colors, loose brushwork, and sense of movement.
